David M. Levenson
David M. Levenson is a renowned cellist, composer, arranger, and music educator. He earned a B.M. from McGill University and an M.M. in Composition from Boston University. He has performed with the Houston Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, and served as principal cellist and associate conductor of the Wichita Symphony. His teachers include such masters as Langendoen, Starker, Rose, and Belland. As an educator, Mr. Levenson spent nearly two decades as Professor of Cello and Theory at Wichita State University, and thirteen years as head of the orchestra and music theory departments at South High School in Newton, MA.
